What We Check During a Housecall Exam
During your pet’s wellness visit, we’ll perform a thorough nose-to-tail exam in the comfort of your home, evaluating:
- General body condition and weight
- Eyes, ears, and nose
- Mouth and teeth (dental health is essential!)
- Heart and lungs
- Abdomen and internal organs
- Muscles, joints, and mobility
- Neurological responses
- Skin and coat
- Lymph nodes and urogenital system
We tailor our exams to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and medical history—and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions in a calm, familiar setting.
Vaccinations & Parasite Prevention—Made Easy at Home
If your pet is healthy enough for routine care, we’ll discuss which vaccines are recommended based on their lifestyle, travel habits, and risk factors.
We’ll also help you build a custom parasite prevention plan, which may include:
- Flea and tick prevention
- Heartworm medication
- Deworming for intestinal parasites
- Fecal testing for hidden parasites
Even indoor pets are at risk from mosquitoes, fleas, or contaminated outdoor areas. And many parasites, like roundworms or hookworms, can be transmitted to humans—especially kids. That’s why year-round prevention is so important.

We take the time to review your pet’s diet, weight, activity level, and behavior, so we can provide realistic, personalized recommendations that fit your lifestyle.
For senior pets, we may recommend biannual exams and more frequent testing to detect age-related changes early and keep them comfortable at home as they age.
